I own a restaurant and need some extra money for remodeling etc . I was told you can get a cash advance on your credit card merchant account instead of going through the process of a regular loan but I’m not sure. Anyone heard of have any experience with these? Do you need good credit to qualify?
I am asking specifically about credit card merchant advances, not fundraisers, grants etc.

Hi I am setting a new MLM type concept and need to allow members to send money from the UK to the accounts abroad but merchants are too expensive and paypal etc, hate MLM businesses. I have looked at FX companies, etc but there must be a cheaper way for somebody to send and recieve money from abroad without all these ridiculous charges.

The Paypal user agreement says that if you send or receive money exclusively using Paypal balance or bank account, then it’s free. How about requesting money from someone? I was on the page for requesting money, and there are only 2 options to choose from when I was asked for the purpose of the request: goods or service. And it appears that both charge a fee. I do have a personal account (not premier or merchant account).

Or can you only purchase items? To be able to recieve money thru pay pal do you have to pay a monthy fee to pay pal? i believe the term is merchant account? All this crap is confusing! any help would be great!

I am setting up a merchant account and I’m wondering how long it will take before I see the money in my account after processing. Also does it differ depending on the credit card? (Amex, Discover Visa)

We run a membership based website where we offer a service to our customers. As a token of good faith, we offer a 3 day trial to the customers for a small $4 processing fee to help cover our expenses. After the 3 day trial, we charge $39.99 a month for our services.

We are having issues with our Merchant account. We have customers who 100% HAVE money in their accounts and when we try and run their cards they are declining.

It happens:
10% of the time for new customers
30% of the time when the customer is converting to a “full member”
30% of the time when the customer is a member and they are being charged the monthly fee anytime after the 1st time.

We have had customers go into they’re online banking while on the phone with us and look at their accounts and verify that they have more than $4 in their account.

All are transactions are done over the phone or online. There is never a card present.

What is the reason that so many of our customer’s credit/debit cards are declining?

I want to open a business where people can send money to their loved ones in Pakistan using their credit cards. I have looked at a few websites that are doing the same (www.pakremit.com). The issue is that I can’t find any merchant that will do this for me. Can someone guide me as to how do I put in a payment system? I know it can be done as other sites are doing it already. Help will highly be appriciated.

I closed my bank account because I never use it, then paypal tried to take out like $2 for ebay fees twice, which lead to $70 in overdraft charges. How is that legal, and what do I do?

I’m looking for an alternative to paypal. I sell online and need an alternative other than paypal. I need to have the buyer/seller protection policy as well. Paypal is too much of a hassle anymore. Merchant accounts are too pricey. If anyone has any ideas, plz oh plz let me know what is best out there!! Thanks.

Of course it will be 1/10000 of services StormPay provides , but if I wanted to offer my website members the ability to add funds using their credit cards to their accounts , and then use it to transfer money to their friends or shopping in affiliated websites ( with mine ) ,, do I need a merchant account , payment gateway or what exactly ,,, sorry I’m not familiar with such issues.
