What do you think about a church that accepts credit cards?

this one church just got a Merchant Account from Innoative merchant solutions, along with credit card procseeing software and a wireless machine that you slide the credit card through, alot of people say that its a good idea But others (mainly the white people) say its improper WHY IS THIS?

Hi there,

I’m so fraustrated with this. I have an online store (I haven’t finished desgined my website yet but upload hundreds of anime dvds for sale) My website is at www.knanime.com I called a merchant account provider and they want to charge me $10 per month with the rate of 2.45% with $50 set up fee the representative said gate payment with authorize.net and I asked her my website builder have the choice of authorize.net payment but it I enter two things “Login and Transaction Key”…I don’t know what is that, I asked “Will you guys give me Login and Transaction Key” of authorize.net so I can enter and start accept credit card/debit card. She did not understand. I’m confused please explain for me. THanks.

I ordered supplies from a online merchant and they were to be shipped by priority mail. I did receive a payment confirmation letter but it was from a yahoo account. I contacted the merchant 2 weeks later asking for a tracking number since I had still not recieved my package. The did not give me the number I requested and stated that I should receive it sometime that week. I contacted them again at the end of the week since my order still has not arrived and I have had no contact from them. What should I do about this non-shipping merchant?

I am a 33 year old male and I just laid off from my banking job and I am considering getting into outside sales selling credit card machines and other services to small businesses. The job is 100% commission and it is extremely appealing to me. The company basically sets up appointments for me and I got out and sell small businesses on saving money on their merchant account . Im scared to try it because Im not sure if its a secure income. On the other hand, I dont want to go back to work a 9 to 5 job because I like the freedom that being an independant sales gives me. Can someone tell me if outside sales is a lucrative career ? What about the competition ? Can you make consistant income from it ? Is the merchant bankcard business a good business to be in ?

I have a merchant account in my name for a family member who for reasons to long to explain cannot get one in her name under her SS#. I have the business license, merchant account, and bank account in my name but I do not see a dime from the business (which does well over $350,000 a year). Will I someday get a knock on my door from the IRS if this family member does not pay the taxes? Am I responsible? Is this even legal?

Applying for a credit card? Planning to buy a home or a car and making a mortgage or loan? Starting a business and you need a free merchant account? Then one requirement you have to provide (whether you like it or not) is a credit report.

What is a credit report? A credit report lists your credit history, as well as information on your residence history (where you’ve lived), buying history (your bills and how you pay), judgments against you (have you been sued, imprisoned, arrested for financial reasons) and whether you’ve been bankrupt or not. All financial details are in this report.

How important it is? A credit report determines whether a financial firm (a bank, credit card company etc) will process or grant whatever it is that you requested. A credit report is unbiased – it will just list details but it will never make a judgment whether it’s “bad” or “good”

A Bad Credit report is usually deemed “bad” because:

you have an outstanding debt
you’ve declared bankruptcy once in your life
you’ve been imprisoned for a while
you don’t have enough assets

Pertinent information your credit report holds:
ID Information- Who are you? This section includes your full name, nicknames, aliases you go by, current address (as well as previous addresses), your social security number, birthday, employers (both current and previous), and civil status. May also include information about your spouse.
Credit Information – How many credit cards do you have? All financial accounts you have with financial firms including but not limited to banks, credit card companies, and lenders (whether it be a mortgage, student loan, recurring loan). This section includes when and where you opened the account, credit limit, and for loans, includes amount of the loan, co-signers, and payment behavior.
Public Record Information – have you ever declared bankruptcy? This section includes declared bankruptcies, monetary judgments, and “everything financial” that is made public or declared.
Recent Inquiries – who has been reading your credit report? This section lists down all inquiries made over the past two years.

Who makes the credit report. Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) or a credit bureau collects the information and charges a fee every time an inquiry is made.

Needless to say, whether you’re applying for a loan, credit card or a free merchant account, you’ll be needing a credit report. Here are some tips to make your credit report look dashing:
Get a copy of your credit report every two years (every year if you prefer) so you can assure all information is correct and recent, as well as note all inaccuracies and take immediate actions. This also secures you against identity theft.
Late payments of your bills can cramp your credit report. Pay all bills on time because your payment history will show up on your credit report.
Did you know that when you declare bankruptcy, it stays on your credit report for 10 years!? So as much as possible, AVOID at all costs. Pun intended.

Don’t take more debt than you can handle.

Maintaining a good credit report is difficult, but with discipline, a bit of scrimping, and common sense all be worth it in the end when you finally get that loan, or that card, or that merchant account free of any hassles.
