If you decide to sell items on amazon.com, is there a monthly fee to have a seller’s account, or is it free? I’m wondering because I saw an ad to become a pro merchant (sell 40+ items in a month), so that your fees are lowered so that the account can “pay for itself”.

What does this basically mean? i am not getting it.

ive created a sellers account on ebay and im trying to post an item. ive gotten to the part where ive typed in starting price and shipping but right now im stuck on payment methods ill accept. ive selected personal check and money orders and did not select PAY PAL but its telling me i need to select pay pal or another merchant option. i do not want to use pay pal and i cant find other options besides im not a merchant. what do i do?
